Don't Let Moldy Feeds Affect Cow Performance and Health this Spring
March 23, 2010
12:30 - 1:30 p.m.

As spring approaches, many dairy producers around the state are dealing with mold as a result of weather conditions last winter.  Minnesota Milk is offering this webinar with Dr. Noah Litherland from University of Minnesota to producer and associate members who would like to learn more about this issue.

In addition to learning about the current mold situation in Minnesota, participants will:

  • Discuss step-by-step feed sampling procedures.
  • Learn about the effects of mold, mycotoxin and wild yeast on dairy cow performance and health.  This includes a discussion of what levels are safe and unsafe for lactating cows.
  • Learn 5 practical steps to minimizing the impact of mold, mycotoxins and wild yeast on dairy cow performance and health.  This will include both storage and feeding.
