About LEQA: The Livestock Environmental Quality Assurance (LEQA) Program is a voluntary program that assists dairy producers in achieving environmental excellence in five major areas:
- Water Quality
- Odor and Air Quality
- Soil Quality and Nutrient Management
- Habitat Quality and Diversity
- Community Image
LEQA Benefits Producers receive a number of benefits:
- Up to $1,360 in technical assistance from a certified EQA Technician
- Make certain that your farm meets all environmental regulations
- Receive expert technical and financial assistance in making environmental management improvements
- Receive high priority for state cost share funding
- Be recognized for Excellence in Environmental Stewardship in the state and your local community as a FIVE STAR DAIRY
- MMPA members receive a $40 rebate off the $225 registration fee!
