As the faculty advisor for the University of Minnesota Laboratory for Udder Health, Dr. Royster is involved in research, teaching and outreach related to mastitis control and diagnostics, particularly on-farm diagnostics. Other areas of interest include milking equipment evaluation and milking parlor performance, promoting responsible use of antibiotics, quality assurance programs and “best practice” adoption on dairies.
