South Dakota State (SDSU) and the University of Minnesota announce the formation of a new collaborative Professional Program in Veterinary Medicine leading to a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree.

The program will allow admitted students to complete their first two years at SDSU and final two years at the U of M’s College of Veterinary Medicine. The American Veterinary Medical Association Council on Education approved the 2+2 program. The first 20-student cohort begins classes at SDSU in August 2021.
